Step 1) Cut out the tree roots

Using a hammer or cutting blade, cut a small hole in the tree root in the center of your block that is about 1/32″ in diameter and 3/8″ thick.

Step 2) Make the roots

Cut the bottom section and the top of the root to make 3/8″ thick strips at the bottom and at the beginning. In my project I cut the top section of the tree.

Step 4) Lay out the wooden block

Using a piece of plastic with a flat top for the wooden block, you can work this out in the following pictures.

Step 5) Create the pipe on the top side of the block

Using a piece of wood that fits in the end of the block, we can make the pipe on the bottom of the block.

Step 6) Finish making the pipe

Now you have your timber and a pipe that are ready to hold.
