How long does a plant stay in a nursery pot?

When a seedling plants in a nursery pot, it can stay dormant for up to several days, growing on or above a regular crop of seedlings. This method is called "planted transplantation". After it's growing too large or growing too slowly, it will become dormant. Planted seedlings can be used in nurseries as long as they have no trouble growing under sunlight (such as the sun!). When a plant has started to get its growing habit a few other days, the plant can be transplanted back. However, if your plants are having trouble growing with heavy soil conditions (such as water or soil clogging), the plant can not do much of any work, and they cannot even get more food. If both plants are at or above their proper height, the plant can not start to grow properly, and the seedling plant will die out. The resulting seedling plants are dead.

The only way to know when a plant will grow properly is to see if a particular temperature is above 70 degrees F or below. Temperature ranges from -30 to +70 degrees F. Temperature in these conditions usually lasts about an hour and a half. (See Figure 5.)
