to enable large scale use of these resources and produce more food for the growing community
or to take a portion of the proceeds. The maximum amount donated will be:
2 x plant varieties
2 x vegetables, preferably with an excellent quality and cultivatable variety
2 x fruit
Additional funds will assist with the development of a small facility such as an indoor garden, and the management and planning of the program. See the section on the "Project Information" for more information about the funding plan
The program will be supervised by a member of the faculty who shall serve as a consultant to manage all items considered.
The cost of administering will be split evenly amongst the student and committee. In order to maintain the quality of the program, staff will assist with planning, implementing and auditing the program according to guidelines established by the university administration.
Program Details and Procedures
The student-managed program is an open-ended program with the goal of bringing about the continued creation of knowledge, resources and sustainable agricultural practices for the University of Pennsylvania. The goal of this part of the program is to support agriculture, improve agricultural efficiency among Pennsylvania farmers, improve the environment and save the environment for future generations. The goal of the programme is not to change farming practices but what these practices mean for agriculture and the environment
